I just bought a Predator Helios 300 (G3-571) with i7 7700HQ - GTX 1060 6GB - 6GB RAM and a 60hz display, my laptop also have HDMI 2.0 output. I wonder if I can connect my laptop to a external monitor with higher refresh rate like 120hz/144hz and get that higher refresh rate? And if my HDMI 2.0 output not support higher refresh rate on external monitor, can I use HDMI to Displayport Converter (like this: https://www.amazon.com/gofanco-DisplayPort-Converter-Compliant-Dual-Mode/dp/B01BXMOREI/?tag=georiot-us-default-20&ascsubtag=tomshardware-1454644570651687610-20#customerReviews) to connect to external monitor and get that higher refresh rate? Thanks in advance!

The Official MSI GP63 Leopard Owners and Discussions Lounge. Anyone interested in undervolting should read this. This guy got. Well that's most likely your laptop's bad cooling system, I have an MSI GP63 Leopard with the exact same CPU and my temps never go higher than 70-80 when gaming using a cheap cooling pad. Also, I got a score of 2225 on Cinebench and 1485 on XTU,so I don't know why you get a lower score.

So I've had this laptop for less than a month. while gaming cpu temperatures would get high from now and then(85 c / ambient temp 30 c).
nothing serious though. I've tried undervolting and undercloking it using Throttlestop and was able to get a pretty stable cpu after using
various benchmarking tools such as AIDA64 and Cinebench... it's been working perfectly for the last 20days since I got it. Until last night . I was playing a game then it froze during gameplay.
I tried to close the game but it was the system that froze, keyboard was not working so i had to do a forced shutdown.
On Boot up I got some windows updates then it blue screened on me I couldn't log in as it rebooted again, this time I logged in for 2 seconds and it showed BSOD with 'kernel auto boost invalid lock release'.
then after a couple of attempts retrying to boot into windows this time It wouldn't show the BSOD just a blackscreen after the msi logo.
So I did a fresh install of windows 10 while keeping my files. and updated to last version 1903 so I can update nvidia drivers to the latest.
and I had to reinstall all drivers and programs. today as I was customizing some windows and power managment settings it froze again and showed the BSOD
(whea uncorrectable error) was stuck for 15 minutes it went into a reboot, this time after msi logo it went into diagnostic then auto repair.
I went into advanced settings and into system restauration as I've already created a system restore point right after the 1903 update.
So i was able to log into windows via the restore point.
P.S : I didn't update the bios or anything .it is running a bios from 23/04/2018.
Pc specs : i7-8570h , nvidia gtx 1060 6gb, 8gb ddr4 RAM, 1 tb HDDand 256 gb SSD.
Thanks in advance.
